Celtic are reportedly set to sign Lewis Morgan from St Mirren.

According to The Scottish Herald, Celtic are expected to tie up a £300,000 deal for playmaker Lewis Morgan before loaning him straight back to St Mirren.
The Bhoys are on the verge of securing one move, as RB Leipzig defender Marvin Compper arrived in Scotland on Tuesday in order to put the finishing touches on his move to Celtic.
It seems that manager Brendan Rodgers isn’t waiting around after Sunday’s 4-0 defeat at Hearts, which ended the club’s 69-game unbeaten domestic run, with another addition on the cards.

However, this one won’t be with a view to an immediate impact, as The Scottish Herald report that Celtic are expected to snap up St Mirren playmaker Lewis Morgan in January, beating Preston North End to his signature.
It is though noted that Morgan would most likely return to St Mirren on loan until the end of the season, assisting the Buddies in their bid to return to the Scottish Premiership.
Morgan, 21, caught the eye last season with 10 goals in 46 games, but has improved on that this term, finding the net 10 times in 23 appearances to be the driving force in the St Mirren side.

With his contract expiring at the end of the season, St Mirren know that Morgan is on his way out of the club, but have been determined to take him back on loan for the rest of the season.
Given that Celtic have no immediate plans for Morgan, this arrangement could be ideal for the ex-Rangers trainee, continuing to feature regularly for St Mirren before starting his Bhoys career next summer.
