Everton are hopeful about landing Steven N’Zonzi, but West Ham United will try and scupper the deal this week.

N’Zonzi seems to be one of the most highly sought-after midfielders across Europe right now, with the Mirror reporting that the Hammers, Everton and Arsenal all want to bring him back to the Premier League after he fell out with Sevilla coach Eduardo Berizzo.

Sam Allardyce – who worked with the 29-year-old during their time together at Blackburn – is optimistic that he will be able to win the race for the Frenchman’s signature, with the Mirror suggesting that he is hoping to bring him to Goodison Park on an initial loan deal before making the move permanent in the summer.
However, West Ham are hoping that they will be able to spoil Everton’s plans. According to the Mirror, the Irons want to hold talks with N’Zonzi this week as David Moyes looks to keep steering his team away from the bottom three in the top flight.

While N’Zonzi has been disappointing this season, he would arguably be a fantastic addition for either West Ham or Everton if he was able to replicate the form he has previously shown in La Liga.
But with both teams boasting their own plans of how they hope they will be able to get a deal across the line, and with Arsenal reportedly in the running, it appears that there may be several twists before the coveted midfielder makes a definitive decision on his future.
