Celtic defender Kieran Tierney has been quoted as saying by The Scottish Sun that he has no ambitions of playing for any other club.

Tierney is one of the best young defenders in Europe and is arguably the best left-back in the Scottish Premiership.

The Scotland international, who can also operate as a centre-back, has established himself as a key figure in the current Celtic team.

The 20-year-old has been linked with moves away from Celtic Park, with clubs in the Premier League claimed to be interested in him.

According to ESPN, Tottenham Hotspur, Manchester United and Arsenal all are interested in Tierney.

The Celtic left-back, though, has made it clear that he has no plan to leave Celtic Park anytime soon.

The Scottish Sun quotes Tierney as saying: “My friends send me the [transfer] articles. I don’t know myself how true it is.

“It’s the added pressure you need to deal with as a footballer. I don’t concentrate on other clubs.

“I’ve got no ambitions to play anywhere else but it’s football, so you never know what can happen.”

Tierney is a Celtic fan, and the youngster is enjoying himself playing for the Hoops at the moment.

Given that the Scotsman is only 20 years of age, it would make sense for him to remain at the Hoops for a few more years at least.

Celtic fans will be please and relieved at Tierney’s aforementioned comments about his future, as it is clear that he is happy and satisfied at the Glasgow giants.
