The Liverpool ace has had to play second fiddle to Mohamed Salah this season.

Ian Wright suggested that Reds ace Sadio Mane could be a little jealous of teammate Mohamed Salah, when speaking on BBC Radio Five Live last night, highlighting how the Senegal international seems slightly perturbed by the Egyptian’s rise to prominence at Anfield.
Salah has proven to be a magnificent signing for Liverpool, since swapping Rome for Merseyside in the summer, scoring 19 goals in 24 outings thus far for Jürgen Klopp’s side.
Mane, on the other hand, has scored seven goals in 15 appearances in what has been a stop-start campaign thus far, and he has undoubtedly been overshadowed by the fleet-footed 25-year-old.

And Wright explained why he believes the former Southampton winger has been slightly out of sorts of late, when speaking on BBC Radio Five Live last night:

“Do you think there is a bit of jealous there? With Mo Salah? He just looks a little bit perturbed by it. Mo Salah has come in and – remember when Mane went to the Africa Cup of Nations and everyone was like ‘oh it’s over now, we can’t replace Mane’? And now they’ve got Salah and he’s been on the bench.”
Next up on the agenda for Klopp’s men is a trip to north London to take on Arsenal in the Premier League on Friday night, and it will be interesting to see if the German opts to play both Mane and Salah against a team with Arsenal’s attacking threat.
