Tottenham Hotspur fans believe that Mauricio Pochettino clearly should have taken Kieran Tripper off against Manchester City at the weekend.
Spurs were battered by City at the weekend, with Trippier struggling badly during the contest.
The right-back simply could not get to grips with City’s attacking movement, as Spurs conceded four times at the Etihad Stadium.
Tottenham fans now feel that Pochettino is putting too much faith in Trippier, and have called for him to be dropped in favour of Serge Aurier.
When will Poch finally give up on this whole “Kieran Trippier is good enough for Spurs” joke?— CunningStunt (@JMEmabbz) December 18, 2017
After a night of reflection, the most disappointing part of this game was Poch not adjusting at halftime. They hit Trippier as much as they could, But Poch left him out there for the second half and sure enough their next goal comes from him not being able to track back.— Chicago Spurs (@chicagospurs) December 17, 2017
Trippier made 3 massive mistakes in first 20 mins, ripped apart whole game, Winks thought he was playing for city amount of times gave away ball, Dembele had feet like clay all game, who does Poch take off? not them but Son who was our best attacking player, wtf— Chris Thompson (@F1CWT) December 17, 2017

1. If so many fans were able to see Trippier can’t play game like that, why couldn’t Poch? Stop that madness now.
2. Regardless of XI, performance was unacceptable.
3. Would’ve loved to see how we’d fared if TA/VW/DS were available. Diff game if so IMO
Poch leaves out serge and plays guys like trippier who are more poor in defence. Why???— David Nyambega (@icywace) December 17, 2017
Wish we kept Bentaleb tbh, but unfortunately Poch is a tyrant that plays kieran Trippier— Decky (@mchdecky) December 16, 2017
Mental that trippier lasted that whole game. Poch should have had him off after 30 mins. Dembele & Winks also were very poor. Unfortunately beaten by a much better side— Dan Cole (@dacl1177) December 16, 2017
Should be playing Aurier but Trippier is one of Pochettino's famed 'favourites' isn't he.— Pat (@PatrickTHFCHW) December 18, 2017
He’s locked into Aurier-Champions; Trippier-PL. Sané tore Trippier up— P. Scott Cunningham (@cunningpscott) December 17, 2017
Trippier has endured a difficult time of Spurs of late, with Pochettino’s side struggling for results.
Tottenham have won just three of their last eight Premeir League matches to slide down the table.
Spurs are now in seventh place in the top tier standings, and are having to play catch up in the race for a Champions League qualification spot.
Tottenham are next in action against Trippier’s former club Burnley, and it remains to be seen whether Pochettino will keep picking the England international.
