Newcastle United midfielder Mohamed Diame has been linked with Goztepe and Sivasspor in the January transfer window.

Newcastle United midfielder Mohamed Diame is wanted by two clubs in Turkey, according to The Sun.

It has been reported that Turkish sides Goztepe and Sivasspor want to sign Diame in a £2.5 million deal.

Should Newcastle United sell Mohamed Diame?

Diame has struggled to play well for Newcastle in the Premier League this season, with fans hugely disappointed with his performances and many want him to leave, as reported on HITC Sport (click here to read more).

The 30-year-old midfielder played an important role for the Magpies in the Championship last season, but the former West Ham United man is not doing well in the top flight of English football at the moment.

Diame has been on the books of the Magpies since the summer of 2016 when they signed him from Hull City for a transfer fee reported by Sky Sports to be worth £4.5m.

Selling the Senegalese midfielder for £2.5m would be a loss for Newcastle, but letting him go in the January transfer window would open up a space in the squad.
