Sunderland won in the Championship at the weekend.
Sunderland returned to winning ways in the Championship at the weekend, as they got the better of Fulham 1-0 at the Stadium of Light.
The Black Cats headed into the match against Fulham on Saturday afternoon on the back of a goalless draw with Wolverhampton Wanderers away from home at the Molineux Stadium.
Josh Maja scored the only goal of the match at the Stadium of Light on Saturday afternoon, as the Black Cats enhanced their chances of escaping the drop to League One at the end of the season.
The result means that Chris Coleman’s side are now 21st in the Championship table with 18 points from 22 matches, just a point above the relegation zone.
Over the course of the 90 minutes at the Stadium of Light on Saturday afternoon, hosts Sunderland had 34% of the possession, took 17 shots of which seven were on target, and earned one corner, according to BBC Sport.
Former Sunderland trio Michael Gray, David Preece and Marco Gabbiadini have taken to social networking site Twitter to give their reaction to the win for the Black Cats.
