Adel Taarabt is re-invigorating his career at Genoa - and he could soon be re-united with a former Queens Park Rangers teammate.

Taarabt is currently on loan at the Serie A side from Benfica, after struggling to make an impact in Portugal.

Now Tuttomercatoweb report Genoa are seeking to sign Brazilian midfielder Sandro, possibly on loan with an option to buy.

Sandro, 28, has been playing in Turkey for Antalyaspor, but he has played only three Super Lig games this season.

The former Tottenham midfielder signed for QPR in 2014 from Tottenham, but struggled to showcase the same form he produced at White Hart Lane.

He spent some of his time playing in the same side as Taarabt, who left QPR in 2015.

Taarabt has scored twice and provided two assists this season for Genoa, having made 15 starts.

He did not enjoy much success alongside Sandro at Loftus Road in his final year, but with Genoa sitting 17th in Serie A, they need all the help they can get at the moment.
