Spurs ace Christian Eriksen explained how he an his teammates have found this season particularly challenging, after having become so used to winning games last term, as quoted by popular football news website Football.London.

Tottenham made sustained challenges for the Premier League title over the past two seasons, before eventually falling at the final hurdle, and it could be argued that their chances of winning the league have already gone this term, with 18 points separating both them and league leaders Manchester City.

Yes, we have got used to winning but games aren’t easy and we’ve learned that. There have been some tough matches where our play, possession and chances we create haven’t been as good as they can be but we keep going in every game, even which it feels like it’s not happening for us, we will always fight to the end.”

Next up for Tottenham is a trip up the M1 to take on Manchester City tomorrow, and they will need Eriksen to be at his absolute best, if they are to leave the Etihad with anything to how for their efforts.
