Ibrox club Glasgow Rangers, now managed by Graeme Murty, and Brendan Rodgers’s Celtic will win this weekend, predicts Simon Donnelly.

Rangers and Celtic both will return to action this weekend. While Graeme Murty’s Rangers will take on St Johnstone at Ibrox on Saturday afternoon, Brendan Rodgers’s Celtic will face Heart of Midlothian away from home at Tynecastle Park in Edinburgh on Sunday afternoon.

Former Celtic and St Johnstone midfielder Simon Donnelly has backed both the Gers and the Hoops to win their respective Scottish Premiership games this weekend.

Donnelly predicted on Betsafe “Rangers to make it five in a row” and said that Celtic “will take the three points” against Hearts.

Rangers have won their last four Scottish Premiership matches, including back-to-back victories over Aberdeen.

The Gers are doing extremely well under caretaker-manager Murty, and the Glasgow giants could pick up all three points against St Johnstone at Ibrox on Saturday afternoon.

Celtic are unbeaten in 69 domestic games in Scotland, and although Hearts will make it tough at them at home, Rodgers’s side should manage to win the match with relative ease.

The Hoops are at the top of the Scottish Premiership table at the moment, while the Gers are currently second in the standings.
