The West Ham United stopper has won back the goalkeeping jersey from Joe Hart.

David Moyes, Manager of Sunderland gives his team instructions during the Premier League match between Arsenal and Sunderland at Emirates Stadium on May 16, 2017 in London, England.

Hammers boss David Moyes spoke to reporters ahead of his side’s game at Stoke tomorrow, and opened up on what he told Adrian ahead of recalling him to the starting XI, as quoted by the club’s official website.

England’s number one Joe Hart lost his place for West Ham’s game away at Manchester City two weeks ago, because he was ineligible to face his parent club, and unfortunately for him, the Spaniard has performed superbly ever since.

The 30-year-old has kept just three clean sheets in 14 Premier League outings so far this season, whilst Adrian has had two shut-outs in only three league appearances.

The Spaniard’s fine form has coincided with an upturn in fortunes for the Hammers, with just an inferior goal difference now separating them from 17th placed West Brom.

And Moyes shared with reporters what he told Adrian, just before recalling him to the starting line-up to face Manchester City on December 3rd, as quoted by the club’s official website:

Adrian San Miguel of West Ham United during the Pre Season Friendly match between Peterborough United and West Ham United at London Road Stadium on July 11, 2015 in Peterborough, England.

“If you got in, play well and you’ll keep the jersey’. If you do, you will stay in, but if you don’t, you won’t.”

Next up for West Ham is a trip to Stoke City tomorrow, and Adrian looks like he will keep his place once again for his side’s crucial clash against the Potters.
