Newcastle United lost in the Premier League on Wednesday.
Newcastle United’s poor run of form continued on Wednesday evening, as they lost yet again, this time to Everton.
The Magpies headed into the Premier League match against the Toffees at St. James’ Park on the back of a 3-2 home defeat to Leicester City in the league.
The defeat to Everton at home means that Rafael Benitez’s side have now gone eight games without a win.
Newcastle are 16th in the Premier League table at the moment with 15 points from 17 matches, just a point above the relegation zone.
Former Newcastle centre-forward Micky Quinn was following the game, and his reaction to the final result on Twitter pretty much says it all.
The Magpies are in genuine danger of getting relegated to the Championship at the end of the season.
It is clear that the current group of players are not good enough, and Newcastle should make some signings in the January transfer window.
Quinn has also praised Newcastle manager Benitez for his honesty after the defeat to Everton.
