Ex-Wolves ace Jon Dadi Bodvarsson admitted his shock at seeing his former club top the Championship table, when speaking exclusively to getreading.co.uk, and offered high words of praise for the club in general.

The 25-year-old is now plying his trade with Reading, having swapped Molineux for the Madejski Stadium in the summer, and with the Royals currently sitting in 14th spot in the table, the Icelandic ace seems to have made a very big mistake.

Nuno Espirito Santo’s side have gone from strength to strength this season, sweeping aside any team that gets in their way, and really impressing with their attractive, expansive brand of football.

Bodvarsson spent one season with Wolves, before moving to Reading in the summer, and admitted his shock at seeing the Black Country outfit sitting comfortably at the top of the Championship table, when speaking exclusively to getreading.co.uk:

“I didn’t even see it [Wolves’ success] coming. It’s a totally different team from last season to now. There have been a lot of changes to the club in general including the coaching staff, the fitness staff and the players so you look at it and you want that success as well. I think it looks good for them and it wouldn’t surprise me [if they won the league]. They have a top team and even if they don’t play well then they get three points. It’s a good club in general, the fans are unbelievable and I wish them all the best.”

There are still 25 games to be played in the Championship season, so Wolves have a lot of hard work to do yet, if they are to achieve promotion back to the Premier League.

If they continue in their current vein, however, they will quite simply cruise to the Championship title.
