Rangers target Louis Moult seemingly won’t be heading to Ibrox in 2018.

According to reports from The Scottish Sun, Motherwell striker Louis Moult will pen a pre-contract agreement with Preston North End, snubbing Rangers in the process.
Moult, 25, was snapped up by Motherwell back in 2015 after an impressive record of 22 goals in 49 games for non-league side Wrexham, and his stick has continued to rise.
The striker notched 18 goals in each of his first two seasons at Motherwell, and boasts a superb scoring rate this season, having found the net 14 times in 22 games in all competitions.

A hero at Fir Park, Moult was always going to attract interest, and with his contract expiring at the end of the season, it’s now believed that Moult is penning a pre-contract agreement to return to England with Preston North End.
The Lilywhites may yet still hope to get Moult in during the January transfer window, but Moult looks bound for Deepdale one way or another, allegedly overlooking interest from Rangers.
Staying in Scotland may have been somewhat appealing for Moult, and he has been mentioned for a move to Ibrox for some months now, especially after scoring twice against the Gers in the Scottish League Cup semi-final in October.

As news of Moult’s imminent move to Preston has broken, Rangers fans have taken to Twitter to offer their reaction, with some not quite sold on the idea of Moult heading to Glasgow anyway.
Others are completely furious with Rangers for missing out, claiming they are a ‘shambles’ and don’t blame Moult for not joining a team without a manager, with some highlighting the huge money spent on Joe Garner and Eduardo Herrera over the last 18 months, when Moult could have been signed for a bargain.
