Hammers boss David Moyes spoke to reporters during his pre-match press conference, ahead of his side’s game against Arsenal at the London Stadium tomorrow night, and shared what he told his players regarding their work-rate when he took over as manager, as quoted by the club’s official website.

West Ham earned an incredibly hard-fought victory over Chelsea on Saturday – a result that took them level on points with 17th placed West Brom, and things are all of a sudden starting to look a whole lot rosier in east London.

The Hammers players will be buzzing following their win over the Blues at the weekend, and there is now genuine optimism amongst the fans that their club can make a push towards the top half of the Premier League table.

Moyes spoke to the media ahead of his side’s clash with Arsenal tomorrow night, and offered an insight into what he has tried to drill into his players since taking the reigns at the London Stadium, as quoted by WHUFC.com:

“We’ve told the players we need to work a bit harder and play more as a team and that will help us get results. I said to the players ‘Don’t be telling me you’re working too hard’ because before it was down to them perhaps not doing enough.”

If West Ham can match the effort and commitment they showed against Chelsea on Saturday, they have every chance fo beating Arsenal tomorrow night – a result that could see them climb outside the bottom three.
