Ibrox club Glasgow Rangers will have Graeme Murty in charge of the Gers until the end of the year.

Rangers have announced on their official website that their pursuit of Aberdeen manager Derek McInnes is over.
The Gers have also stated that Graeme Murty will continue as the interim manager at least until the end of the year.
Murty has done well since taking charge of the Rangers first team following the departure of Pedro Caixinha. Recent back-to-back wins against Aberdeen have underlined his credentials.

However, there is an obvious and major problem with Murty being in charge of the Glasgow giants until the end of December. With the transfer window set to open next month, who is going to make the signings, if indeed any are made?
The 43-year-old may not be given the Rangers managerial job on a full-time basis, meaning that he is not going to make decisions on who will come and who will go in the January transfer window.
If the Gers appoint a new manager in the first or second week of January, then he will not have enough time to assess his squad and make decisions on the players’ future.

Moreover, would players be interested in joining a club in January who would have then only just appointed a new manager?
Rangers have left it too late to appoint a permanent successor to Caixinha, and that could cost them in January.
