Sunderland fans are tipping Yann M'Vila to become an Everton this winter.
M'Vila spent the 2015-16 campaign on loan at the Stadium of Light, where Sam Allardyce was manager for much of that time.
Allardyce, who was appointed Everton boss last week, announced publicly his intention to sign the French midfielder on a permanent basis, but a deal failed to materialise after he was prised away by England.
M'Vila later agreed a new contract at parent club Rubin Kazan, but according to the Telegraph, he could soon become a free agent after the Russian side failed to pay their players for the past four months.
Following that development, many Sunderland fans are clamouring for M'Vila's return - although the more realistic among them acknowledge the difficulty they face as the Championship's second worst-placed side.
And some of them believe he's bound for Everton instead.
