Leeds United defender Pontus Jansson has told the Daily Express that Thomas Christiansen’s training sessions are harder than Garry Monk’s.

There was great disappointment expressed when Monk left Leeds to join Middlesbrough at the end of last season, but Christiansen has shown signs of encouragement since taking over.

And Jansson believes that Christiansen has a more analytic strategy than his predecessor.

The Swedish international said: “He works hard at training. There is more analysis than last year and the training sessions have also been harder, so there have been a lot of differences.”
