Tottenham will take on Apoel at the Wembley Stadium in London in the Champions League on Wednesday evening.
Spurs have already progressed to the last-16 stage of Europe’s premier club competition as Group H winners.
Former Liverpool and Manchester United striker Owen has backed Mauricio Pochettino’s side to keep an clean sheet against Apoel and pick up all three points from the encounter.
Owen wrote on Betvictor.com: “No Cypriot side has beaten English opposition in European competition and I can’t see Apoel bucking that trend at Wembley.
“Spurs have won their last three CL games at Wembley 3-1 but I expect Spurs to keep a clean sheet in a comfortable win, which will end a wonderful group stage for the north London outfit.”
Meanwhile, the draw for the third round of the FA Cup was made on Monday evening.
Premier League club Tottenham will face League One club AFC Wimbledon at Wembley in the competition.
It will be a special match for Dean Parrett, who left Spurs in 2013 after failing to break into the first team and is now on the books of AFC Wimbledon.
The 26-year-old midfielder is excited at the prospect of facing his former club and hopes to recover from his groin injury for the tie.
