Derby, Leeds and Sheffield Wednesday are said to be looking at options ‘to bolster their midfield in the push for promotion’.

Derby County, Leeds United and Sheffield Wednesday are among the clubs who admire Josh Vela, the Daily Mail reports.
The Bolton Wanderers midfielder has 18 months left on his contract, although it is claimed he may be sold in January ‘to help alleviate’ some of the Trotters’ financial worries.

According to the Daily Mail, however, Vela is also being watched by Premier League Brighton & Hove Albion ‘ahead of a potential move’ in the winter transfer window.
Vela started Bolton’s opening day defeat against Leeds, but did not play again until October as a result of an ankle problem.

And the 23-year-old’s return, which came in a 2-1 win against Sheffield Wednesday, has coincided with the Trotters’ surge up the Championship table.
The Daily Mail reports that Leeds and Wednesday, who sit sixth, eighth and 12th respectively, are looking at options ‘to bolster their midfield in the push for promotion’.
Salford-born Vela began his career at Bolton, where his academy displays are said to have attracted interest from Liverpool.
