Tottenham Hotspur full-back Kieran Trippier spoke to reporters about his side’s poor run of form.

Spurs full-back Kieran Trippier spoke to reporters in the aftermath of his side’s 1-1 draw against Watford yesterday, and responded to a question asking him if he is concerned by Tottenham’s poor run of form, as quoted by talkSPORT.

The Lilywhites have taken just two points from their last four Premier League games – a run that has seen them fall 18 points adrift of Pep Guardiola’s rampant Manchester City side, and the league title already seems to be beyond them.

On the face of it, a point at Vicarage Road, having played with 10 men for 40 minutes seems like a respectable result, but in the grand scheme of things, it didn’t do Spurs any good whatsoever, and Mauricio Pochettino’s men can ill-afford too many more slip-ups.

Trippier though, told reporters how he is in fact not concerned by Tottenham’s barren run, insisting that their is still a great spirit and hunger amongst the squad, as quoted by talkSPORT:

“No, of course not. We’ve got a fantastic team, great spirit, a hungry young team and a great manager – we just have to keep going. It was difficult when we went down to 10 men but we still created chances and kept pushing on for the three points. We had to dig deep. Watford are a good side and they played well.”

Next up for Spurs is a home game against APOEL in the Champions League on Wednesday night, before they face back to back home games against Stoke City and Brighton and Hove Albion in the Premier League, and three wins from those outings would be the ideal tonic for Pochettino’s men, before they head to the Etihad for a showdown with Manchester City.
