Brendan Rodgers’ Celtic side have been tremendously impressive on the domestic front over the past 18 months.

The Hoops have been nothing short of spectacular since the appointment of Brendan Rodgers as manager in the summer of 2016, and are currently in the midst of a 66 unbeaten run on the domestic front.

Celtic have already eclipsed the British record of 62 games without losing, and many are predicting that they will go on unbeaten for the rest of the season.

Rodgers’ men showed real fight and spirit on Wednesday night, coming back from a goal down to draw away at Motherwell, keeping their undefeated domestic run in tact in the process.

Just how far can the Glasgow giants go though? And how many more games do they need to string together without losing to make European history?

Well, the all-time record in Europe for consecutive games undefeated is 119 set by Steaua Bucharest between 1986-1989, so Rodgers’ side need to rack up another 54 games on the trot without losing to make further history – a rather daunting prospect.

If any side are capable of doing just that though, it is this current Celtic team, with the perfect blend of physicality and skill currently present at Parkhead.

Next up on the horizon for the Hoops is a home game against Motherwell, and the visitors will be desperate for revenge, after conceding a late equaliser against Celtic just two days ago.
