Wolves ace Ivan Cavaleiro sat down for an exclusive interview with the Express & Star, and shared the reason why he struggled to adapt to life in the Championship, following his move to Molineux in the summer of 2016.

The 24-year-old winger has been in wonderful form for his club so far this season, scoring six goals and chipping in with five assists in 18 Championship outings.

Success in England didn’t come easy for the Portuguese star, however, following his £7 million switch from Monaco 16 moths ago, with injuries hampering his progress last term.

Cavaleiro sat down for an exclusive interview with the Express & Star, and highlighted how he is currently experiencing the best moment of his career to date:

“I believe this is the best moment of my career since I arrived in England. I felt some difficulties of adaptation in the first season, in which I suffered several injuries. This year I have managed to make more games as a starter and play at a good level.”

Nuno Espirito Santo’s men currently sit comfortably at the top of the Championship table, but there is still a very long way to go.

Next up for Wolves is a trip to St Andrews to take on Birmingham City on Monday night, and the Portuguese winger will have to be at his scintillating best, if they are to leave the Blues’ home with all three points safely secured.
