Rangers face Aberdeen at Ibrox in the Scottish Premiership on Wednesday night.

Rangers’ number four Cardoso has been sidelined for the Gers last five matches after suffering a broken nose in the Betfred Cup semi-final loss to Motherwell, as he was on the receiving end of a vicious elbow from Well ace Ryan Bowman.

The 23-year-old suffered a broken nose and was even forced to undergo surgery to correct the issue, but now it seems the Portuguese defender is back in the squad and available for selection in what is an important league match.
Cardoso had previously been a mainstay of the Gers side prior to his injury, making 14 appearances in all competitions and helping the Scottish giants keep four clean sheets and concede just 15 goals.
Cardoso took to Twitter to gee up his Rangers teammates and fans alike ahead of the clash, urging the Rangers side to “show our value” and stating that “only the three points matter”.

It remains to be seen how interim manager Graeme Murty will line-up in defence if Cardoso is fit, with Bruno Alves also declared available while the form of teenager Ross McCrorie has wowed fans and plaudits alike.
Rangers fans reacted to Cardoso’s tweet, with one fan stating that he would like to see a back three of Cardoso, Alves and either McCrorie or Danny Wilson while another ordered Cardoso to “give them hell”.
