The Liverpool hitman is a reported transfer target for West Ham United.

David Moyes has a huge job on his hands, if he is to guide his Hammers side away from relegation, and it is clearly evident that he will need to strengthen his squad drastically during the January transfer window, if he is to having any chance of succeeding in east London.
West Ham undoubtedly have their troubles in the defensive department, but their poor performance in front of goal this season seems to have been overlooked, with just 12 goals scored in the 13 Premier League games they have played thus far.
With this in mind, Moyes will surely be targeting the addition of an established striker in January, and the Daily Mail claim that Liverpool hitman Daniel Sturridge features highly on his wish-list.

The Scot would be best served in avoiding a move for the 28-year-old forward, however, what with his less than impressive injury record.

Sturridge is undoubtedly one of the league’s bets finishers on his day, but his woeful track record with injuries means that he is totally unreliable when it comes to playing week-in, week-out.
Since the start of the 2014/15 season, the England international has started just 25 Premier League games from a possible 127 for the Reds.

The Hammers already have a trio of injury prone strikers at the London Stadium, with Andy Carroll, Diafra Sakho and Javier Hernandez all well-renowned for missing large chunks of the season through injury.
And Moyes would surely be wise to make a move for a younger, hungrier striker this January, if he really wants to add a certain level of energy and dynamism to his front-line.
