Leeds United teenage sensation Jack Clarke could not hide his frustration on Twitter after the Whites' Under-18 side were knocked out of the FA Youth Cup on Monday night.

Burnley youngster Jordan Cropper found the back of the net in the 84th minute in a clash played at Burnley's home Turf Moor, with a superb drive from 25 yards out that ultimately saw the Clarets earn a narrow 1-0 win.

Clarke, who signed a professional four-year contract on his 17th birthday on November 23, started and finished the match along with a number of other promising stars that have also featured for the club's reserve side.

The likes of Robbie Gotts, Liam Kitching and Kun Temenuzhkov all played for Mark Jackson's side, but were unable to avoid defeat and Clarke took to Twitter after the match to say "football is a cruel game."

Clarke is considered one of the brightest prospects in the Elland Road academy at the moment, and has already hired former Leeds United icon Ian Harte as his agent. Harte is also the agent of left-back Tyler Denton.

Leeds fans reacted to Clarke's tweet, with one fan stating that the striker will be in the  "first team soon".
