West Brom may be enduring a pretty poor run of form right now, but one Baggies player who started Saturday’s clash with Tottenham is still yet to taste defeat in the Premier League this season.
Sam Field has now made three top flight appearances for West Brom this term, and it was during two of those appearances that the club picked up their only wins of the campaign to date.

He had not been seen for the first-team since the second weekend of the season before the Baggies’ trip to Wembley, but caretaker boss Gary Megson decided to throw him back into the starting lineup against Mauricio Pochettino’s side – and the decision paid off handsomely.
Field was one of a number of West Brom players who were excellent against Tottenham, showing no signs that alluded to the fact that Tony Pulis had not picked him again before the end of his tenure earlier this week.

The 19-year-old had a tough task replacing Grzegorz Krychowiak in the starting lineup – the Poland international has been disappointing lately, but some may have felt that he should have kept his place given his quality – but he arguably could have done little more to vindicate the decision as the away side secured a 1-1 draw.
And on Twitter, the West Brom fans have lauded the teenager, suggesting that he should never have been left out of the team for so long when he is already capable of putting in such fine performances.
Here is the best of the reaction to Field’s performance…
