Rangers fans have taken to social networking site Twitter to give their reaction to the performance of Alfredo Morelos against Dundee.
Morelos featured for Rangers in the Scottish Premiership game against Dundee away from home at Dens Park on Friday evening.
The 21-year-old striker started the match and played until the second minute of first-half injury time, as Graeme Murty’s side lost 2-1.
The Colombia Under-20 international has struggled to score goals in recent weeks, and his failure to find the net extended to this weekend.
Morelos had to be substituted due to an injury, and his performance during his time on the match sparked mixed reaction from the Rangers fans.
Rangers tonight in my opinion.— Glasgow Rangers (@Rangers_FC_1872) November 24, 2017
John 4/10 going for 7/10
Bottom line. This isn't good enough and no where it.
Alfredo Morelos going off had a massive influence on Rangers’ game. Was linking play, a constant threat. Herrera? Mexican John Sutton.— Joel Sked (@sked21) November 24, 2017
Dundee deserved that as wanted it more and outfought Rangers in 2nd half. From Gers perspective it was totally unacceptable to be outfought like that. Morelos missed in 2nd half as worked his socks off. Board should have had a new manager in long ago. No leadership.— Iain Bishop (@IainSpursfan) November 24, 2017
Seriously, if Morelos had gone off for no one, we wouldn't be any worse off. Some absolute passengers have been on the pitch for Rangers tonight. We're at our lowest since Le Guen was in charge. #shambles— Buster Brown (@CallumB106X) November 24, 2017
Finishing aside, Rangers have played very well. John & mccrorie outstanding. Tav & windass some good stuff. But Morelos looked haunted in front of goal— Billy Austin (@Bryce9A) November 24, 2017
Anyone that’s criticised Alfredo Morelos on this barren run he’s had will soon eat their words if he misses a few games - when they realise how much he actually brings to this Rangers team— Alan Clark (@AlanCee_) November 24, 2017
Unless someone comes in and scores goals that win games. Then in all honesty I couldn’t care less what he brings if it isn’t goals or assists.— James Black (@jamesablack) November 24, 2017
Over the course of the 90 minutes at Dens Park on Friday evening, visitors Rangers had 53% of the possession, took 15 shots of which eight were on target, and earned five corners, according to BBC Sport.
Rangers will return to action on Wednesday evening when they take on Aberdeen at Ibrox in the Scottish Premiership.
