Tottenham Hotspur fans are discussing replacements for Danny Rose on Twitter.
Rose, who publicly criticised Tottenham's wage and recruitment structures during a spell on the sidelines earlier this year, appeared to have patched things up with Spurs head coach Mauricio Pochettino.
But after the 27-year-old was left out of Pochettino's squad for Saturday's derby defeat against Arsenal, speculation about his future has began to resurface.
A report on the Sun's website claims Rose is fuming at his manager's post-match comments, in which he said the player was not fit enough to feature, and that Manchester United are keen to do a deal for him in January, with Luke Shaw potentially offered in exchange.
However, some Tottenham fans are unsure about Shaw, who made his name at Southampton, under Pochettino, and believe there is a better option in Fulham's Ryan Sessegnon.
The 17-year-old has excelled in the Championship, and was linked with a £25 million move to Spurs this summer (Daily Mail).
Here's what they're saying about him on Twitter:
Sessegnon/Tierney instead. I’d take Martial for Rose— GB (@GordBeb) 18 November 2017
Danny Rose clearly wants out. Go. Bye bye. He’s not interested in the project of building a team. If we can get Sessegnon then happy days.— Jane Liddiard (@Janelid) 18 November 2017
I’d take that deal all day long.— ️Roger That (@spursfandom) 18 November 2017
Hmmm, improving your rivals is always a strategic error. Shaw has had so many injuries so young. I’d maybe take £60m to fund Sessegnon and Moussa Dembele— Greg Jenner (@greg_jenner) 20 November 2017
make them pay a stupid amount of money then go for Sessegnon, I would be concerned about Shaw's injury, which he has never seemed to have recovered from. Unless they pay a stupid amount of money plus Shaw then ok.— Raf (@Raf_THFC) 19 November 2017
Id try Sessegnon or Tierney before Shaw..I think they might get one of them in the summer so may be Shaw in january to cover for Davies— Phontaine (@Dphontaine) 19 November 2017
Should Fulham's Sessegnon replace Rose at Tottenham Hostpur?
