Celtic and Ross County went head-to-head this weekend.
Celtic’s players returned from the latest international break to take on Ross County in the Scottish Premiership, and it was a hard fought victory for Brendan Rodgers’ side.
Leigh Griffiths scores the only goal of the game, coming off the bench shortly after summer signing Jonny Hayes was introduced, and the Celtic pair were integral in the club’s late win.
Hayes has struggled for chances since arriving at Celtic Park, with Saturday’s clash yet another outing from the bench rather than a much craved start.
So far the Celtic player has kicked off only three matches in the league but, if he keeps delivering like he did on Saturday, he may get more chances in the weeks ahead.
Celtic now have to focus on the Champions League, with Paris Saint-Germain on the horizon and a place in the Europa League far from guaranteed.
From there Celtic will be looking to maintain their impressive start to the new Scottish Premiership campaign and ultimately retain their title next year.
Hayes will be hoping to make his mark and he will surely embrace every opportunity, no matter how small.
After their latest match we took to Twitter to see what Celtic fans thought of Hayes’ performance and you can read a selection of what we found below:
