Arsenal are reportedly keeping tabs on the Aston Villa Director of Football.

According to the Daily Mail, Aston Villa Technical Director Steve Round is attracting interest from the Gunners, as Arsene Wenger looks to continue the re-shuffle of his backroom team.
The 47-year-old has held his position at Villa Park since September 2016, after having previously worked under David Moyes during his stints at Everton and Manchester United.

He has impressed during his time in the west Midlands, but unfortunately for Villa, his fine work has not gone unnoticed, with the Daily Mail claiming that Arsenal are eyeing him up as the perfect replacement for the recently departed Dick Law, who was in charge of all transfer negotiations.
Wenger has often been criticised for his insistence on covering every single facet of operations at the Emirates, and the addition of Round to his backroom team would be a seen as an unprecedented move to delegate by the Frenchman.

The Villans will obviously be keen to keep hold of their Technical Director, but Arsenal’s financial power is far superior to Villa’s, and they would undoubtedly be able to come up with some kind of package that would sufficiently compensate the west Midlands outfit.
