HITC Sport understands Fulham eye Moroccan winger Ayoub.
Fulham are weighing up a move for highly-rated Utrecht midfielder Yassine Ayoub, HITC Sport understands from sources close to the club.
The West London side have been keeping tabs on Ayoub for some time and have had scouts watch the attacking midfielder on several occasions this season.
Fulham boss Slavisa Jokanovic wants to add more attacking options to his side when the transfer window reopens in January after a disappointing start to the season and Ayoub would fit the bill.
Ayoub impressed last season at Utrecht, scoring five goals and laying on 12 assists to help the club qualify for the Europa League and so far this term has scored one goal and created one assist in 11 games.
The 23-year-old's future was the subject of speculation in the summer with Sunderland credited with an interest in the Moroccan-born winger, but Utrecht managed to keep hold of him.
Ayoub is out of contract at Utrecht next summer and with no new deal in the offing the Eredivisie club could decide to cash-in on the player rather than risk losing him for nothing when his contract expires.
Ayoub has represented Netherlands at various youth levels up to the under-21s, but he has now switched allegiances to Morocco, although he is yet to win a cap for the African country.
Ayoub came through the famed Ajax youth academy before joining Utrecht in 2009 and the player is thought to be interested in a move to England if Fulham firm up their interest.
