The experienced coach has been linked with a role at West Ham United.
Stuart Pearce responded to rumours that he is being lined up for a coaching role as part of David Moyes' new team at West Ham, when speaking live on talkSPORT on Monday, and Hammers fans reacted rather contrastingly on Twitter.
The east London outfit parted company with Slaven Bilic on Monday, before appointing Moyes as their new manager yesterday, but the new appointment has not gone down too well with the club's fans, who expected a more forward-thinking coach to be given a chance at the helm.
Only time will tell if bringing the Scot to the London Stadium was the right call or not.
For now, however, the West Ham fans have little choice but to back their manager.
Something that might make Moyes' tenure run a little smoother would be for him to appoint a former fan favourite as one of his coaching staff.
One of those being mooted for a role with the Hammers was Stuart Pearce, although the former West Ham, Nottingham Forest and England left-back insisted that he had not yet been approached by the club, when speaking to talkSPORT.
