Ex-Spurs goalkeeper Neil Sullivan spoke exclusively to the club’s official website, after watching Mauricio Pochettino’s men earn a hard-fought 1-0 win over Crystal Palace on Sunday, and raved about the atmosphere generated by the club’s fans at Wembley.

Tottenham have made an impressive start to their 2017/18 campaign, both domestically and on the continent, and currently sit in third position in the Premier League table, as well as having already qualified for the knock-out stages of the Champions League.

They are eight points adrift of Pep Guardiola’s rampant Manchester City side, however, and can ill-afford too many more slip-ups, if they have genuine ambitions of winning the Premier League title this season.

And Sullivan, who made 81 appearances for the Lilywhites during a three-year spell in north London, raved about the quality of his former side’s play, whilst praising the atmosphere created by the home fans, as quoted by TottenhamHotspur.com:

“Every report you get is about how wonderful the football is, how great they play, how they move the ball, break teams down and when you see it live, it’s different to watching on TV. It’s nice to see them at Wembley and it’s nice to see them winning. My lad wanted to come down to Wembley and have a look around, so it’s great to see them live at a stadium like this. The fan base is still fantastic and the atmosphere they generate is brilliant.”
