Tottenham Hotspur overcame Crystal Palace this weekend but only just.
Tottenham Hotspur headed into the weekend clash against Crystal Palace in high spirits after their impressive victory against Real Madrid last time out, but they had to work extremely hard to overcome an Eagles side fighting for every single point.
In the end Tottenham had Heung-min Son to thank for their win as the South Korea international scored the only goal of the game just after the hour-mark, but Spurs fans were also quick to praise an opposing player in the form of Wilfried Zaha.
Tottenham have long been linked with a potential move for the Ivory Coast international and, based on what they saw on Sunday, some fans are now even more convinced that the 24-year-old could be the missing piece of the jigsaw.
Zaha had scored two goals in four games sicne returning from injury, including a last-gasp equaliser against West Ham United last time out. However despite impressing again for Palace he was unable to get on the score sheet against his alleged suitors.
Not that it stopped some Tottenham fans from taking to social media after the game to call for their manager Mauricio Pochettino to make a bid before someone else does.
