The Newcastle United ace has recently returned to full fitness.

Magpies defender Florian Lejeune sat down for an exclusive interview for the club’s Matchday programme, and shared the first question that Rafa Benitez asked him when he arrived at the club in the summer, as quoted by the club’s official website.
The Frenchman made his debut for Newcastle against Tottenham back in August, but went on to miss the following month due to an injury he sustained in that game.
The 26-year-old has now returned to the first-team fold, however, having fully recovered form his injury, and the Toon Army will be expecting to see great things from the £8.7 million man.

Lejeune possesses great quality, but still needs more time to adapt to the physicality of the English game.
The former Eibar man sat down for a interview for the Magpies’ official Matchday programme, and opened up on the first question that his new manager asked him when he arrived on Tyneside, as quoted by NUFC.co.uk:
“My progress is good, and I am here at a big club in Newcastle with a great manager who also asked me what my ambitions were and posed the same question. I told him I’d love to play for France. And so if I want to do that, I need to do better things in training and in games – I need to do well for my club. But for me, at present, the most important thing is to start for Newcastle and to put in good performances for the team.”

Newcastle now have to wait another two weeks before they play again due to the international break, and face a daunting-looking trip to Old Trafford to take on Manchester United.
And they will need Lejeune to be at his very best against Lukaku and co, if they are to leave Manchester with anything to show for their efforts.
