Tottenham Hotspur have impressed so far this season, both domestically and on the continent.

When writing a column for Spurs’ match-day programme, Christian Eriksen raved about the ability of Davinson Sanchez, explaining how the Colombian and his fellow centre-backs make his own job that little bit easier, as quoted by popular football news website Football.London.

The 21-year-old joined Tottenham from Ajax in the summer, for a fee believed to be in the region of £42 million, and has since gone on to impress for the Lilywhites, making 11 appearances in all competitions thus far.

He has formed a wonderful partnership with Jan Vertonghen and Toby Alderweireld at the heart of Spurs’ defence, and the 6ft 2in centre-back has consistently demonstrated why Tottenham parted with such a large amount of money in order to bring him to the club.

And Eriksen explained how the three central defenders make his job a lot easier, when writing a column for the club’s match-day programme, and quoted via Football.London:

“He’s (Sanchez) developed into a solid and very good centre-back for us. With the communication at the back – in most of the games it’s been Davinson, Toby and Jan – they’ve done so well and it’s made it easier for us to build attacks.”
