Aston Villa fans have raved about the performance of Callum O’Hare in their under-23 side’s latest contest.

Villa beat Newcastle United’s under-23 side 6-0 yesterday, with O’Hare scoring a hat-trick and setting up another in the contest.

The match was actually notable for Henri Lansbury’s inclusion, as the midfielder steps up his comeback from injury.

But it was O’Hare who stole the headlines, with many Villa fans calling for the youngster to get a first-team chance.

Steve Bruce has been cautious with using O’Hare in Villa’s first-team this season, with the skilful attacker only being handed a handful of appearances.

O’Hare has seriously impressed when given a shot though, and there is great excitement about his future at Villa Park.

The claret and blues’ next match comes against Preston North End, but it is not yet clear whether O’Hare will have done enough to break into Steve Bruce’s starting line-up for that fixture.
