Spurs ace Dele Alli spoke to reporters after his side’s thrilling 4-1 win over Liverpool yesterday, and shared how his teammates have been giving him some stick concerning his goal against Jürgen Klopp’s men, as quoted by the club’s official website.

The 21-year-old’s rise within the game has been quite sensational, and it is amazing to think that he was playing League One football with MK Dons just two years ago.

He is now a fully established member of both the Tottenham side and England national team, after a red-hot patch of form that has lasted roughly 18 months.

Alli scored the Lilywhites’ vitally important third goal against the Reds yesterday, but he told reporters how his Spurs teammates still found a way to mock him after his volley found the back of the net, as quoted by TottenhamHotspur.com:

“Yeh the boys are saying that it come off my shin, but I’m not sure where it come off, I’m just happy it went in, and it came at a good time as well, just before half-time…3-1 is a lot different to 2-1.”
