Rio Ferdinand predicts Everton's next manager and bad news for Sheffield United

Rio Ferdinand of QPR clears the ball from Christian Eriksen of Spurs during the Barclays Premier League match between Queens Park Rangers and Tottenham Hotspur at Loftus Road on March 7,...

Everton parted company with manager Ronald Koeman earlier today.

Sean Dyche manager of Burnley gestures during the Premier League match between Chelsea and Burnley at Stamford Bridge on August 12, 2017 in London, England.

Rio Ferdinand believes that Everton’s next manager will be Burnley boss Sean Dyche.

Everton parted company with Ronald Koeman earlier today, after what has been a disastrous run of form this season.

The Toffees currently sit in the Premier League relegation zone, after a run of give matches without a victory in all competitions.

Chris Wilder manager of Sheffield United looks on during the Sky Bet Championship match between Sheffield United and Barnsley at Bramall Lane on August 19, 2017 in Sheffield, England.

Everton’s 5-2 defeat against Arsenal yesterday proved to be the final straw for Koeman, who has been hanging on to his job at Goodison Park for weeks.

The Toffees are now set to be looking for a new boss, and Ferdinand believes Dyche could end in at the Merseyside club - which, in turn, could see Sheffield United’s Chris Wilder end up at Turf Moor.

Wilder has done an amazing job with Sheffield United, helping the Blades rise up from League One and become promotion contenders in the Championship.

Whether Wilder would leave his boyhood club to join Burnley, if the offer was presented to him, remains to be seen.
