Josh Warrington has confirmed that Leeds United defender Gaetano Berardi will join him on his ringwalk before his bout with Dennis Ceylan.

Leeds fans have been reacting to the news that boxer Josh Warrington confirmed on Twitter that Gaetano Berardi will be one of the men accompanying him to the ring before he takes on Dennis Ceylan on Saturday.
Berardi is one of the most loved players in the Leeds squad, having quickly won the fans over with his tireless style of play that has landed him in trouble but also rescued the Whites in equal measure at times.

The Swiss full-back has the ability to inspire the rest of the team with a full-blooded challenge or incredible last-ditch block, and his quest for his first ever professional goal – which, according to the fans, will lead to a pitch invasion when it happens – only adds to his popularity.
Therefore, it was hardly a surprise that the news that Warrington confirmed on his official Twitter page on Tuesday evening received a hugely positive reaction from the Elland Road faithful.

Warrington takes on Ceylan in an IBF Featherweight Title Eliminator in Leeds on Saturday night, looking to extend his flawless professional record to 26-0, and he has confirmed that Berardi, along with Leeds Rhinos legend Danny McGuire, will be accompanying him to the ring ahead of the bout.
And, unsurprisingly – given his style of play – Berardi’s involvement, which will come just hours after the Whites face Bristol City at Ashton Gate in the Championship, has prompted plenty of reaction amongst the Leeds United fans, with many suggesting that the defender may be as effective in the ring as he is out on the pitch.
Here is the best of the reaction…
