The 30-year-old hitman possesses all of the attributes required to be a success in England, and has vast experience of playing in the Premier League after spending time with both Manchester United and Newcastle United.

Rossi is wonderfully gifted from a technical perspective, and his nouse in and around the penalty area would perfectly complement Gabbiadini’s fox-in-the-box type nature.
And if Pellegrino manages to bring the Italian to St Mary’s, it could turn out to be a real coup for Southampton.
