West Ham United drew 1-1 away at Burnley in the Premier League, but Marko Arnautovic certainly failed to impress.

It is surely fair to say that Marko Arnautovic has endured a fairly miserable time since joining West Ham from Stoke in the summer for a fee that the Guardian reported could potentially reach £25 million.

The Austrian is yet to score or contribute an assist in the Premier League since he arrived, and his most notable moment in a Hammers shirt came when he was sent off for a needless elbow on Jack Stephens during their August defeat to Southampton.

And unfortunately for the 28-year-old, his latest performance gave Irons fans little reason to believe that he will justify the club's decision to make him their most expensive signing to date.

Slaven Bilic's men had to settle for a 1-1 draw with Burnley at Turf Moor, as a late goal from Chris Wood cancelled out Michail Antonio's early opener.

Despite the scoreline, it was an eventful game with Andy Carroll rivalling Arnautovic's dismissal against the Saints for stupidity as he picked up two yellow cards in around two minutes for similar offences.

Arnautovic's involvement would come to an end at half-time, with Bilic replacing him with Pedro Obiang, seemingly in an attempt to protect their lead given their disadvantage.

But the forward's withdrawal led to little criticism from the supporters who took to Twitter to comment on the game, with many lamenting the decision to sign him in the first place and asking Stoke to sign him back.
