Tottenham supporters have taken to Twitter in the wake of Crystal Palace’s surprise win over Chelsea on Saturday to express their disappointment that they did not manage to sign Wilfried Zaha during the summer, as well as their hope that a deal could still be done at some point in the future.

The Eagles needed eight games to score their first goals and bag their first points of the campaign, as they beat the Premier League champions 2-1 at Selhurst Park.

The game also marked the return of Zaha, who had not played for the previous two months due to injury, and he announced his return in some style with a fantastic goal that proved to be the winner.

The goal certainly attracted attention from Spurs fans, who may have spent the months leading into the summer hoping that he may be Wembley-bound after helping the Eagles just about stay up last season.
