Preston North End forward Jordan Hugill was linked with Sunderland and Wolverhampton Wanderers in the summer transfer window.

It has also been reported that Hugill’s former club, Port Vale, are entitled to 25% of the transfer fee.

Sunderland and Wolverhampton Wanderers speculation
Hugill was linked with moves to Championship clubs Sunderland and Wolverhampton Wanderers in the summer transfer window.
The Sunderland Echo credited Sunderland with interest in the 25-year-old forward in August.
Sky Sports also reported in August that Wolverhampton Wanderers wanted the forward, and that their bid of £8m had been turned down.

Preston North End
Hugill scored 12 goals and provided two assists in 35 Championship starts for Preston during the 2016-17 campaign.
The 25-year-old forward has scored four goals in 11 Championship starts for Alex Neil’s side so far this season.
Preston are fifth in the league table at the moment with 21 points from 12 matches, five points behind leaders Wolves.
