Leeds United snapped up Cameron Borthwick-Jackson from Manchester United, but their latest transfer plan is not good news for him.

According to ClubCall, Leeds United are set to make a move for Scott Malone of Huddersfield Town in the January transfer window.

Leeds want Malone on loan, as Thomas Christiansen seeks to find a permanent left-back for his side.

Leeds have utilised both Gaetano Berardi and Vurnon Anita on the left-hand side of their defence so far this season, but neither have managed to confirm their place in the team.

And Leeds now want Malone, who has failed to make much of an impression at Huddersfield, to join.

If Malone does join it will increase Christiansen’s options in defence, but it may not be good news for Cameron Borthwick-Jackson.

Borthwick-Jackson was brought to Leeds from Manchester United on loan during the summer transfer window, but he has been unable to make any sort of impression to date.

And if Malone arrives, it surely would put to an end any chance of Borthwick-Jackson reviving his career at Elland Road.
