Alan Shearer wants the Tottenham striker to given England’s captaincy.

A lot of debate has been going on about who should be England’s next permanent captain.
Gareth Southgate, the England manager, has rotated the captain’s armband between Jordan Henderson and Harry Kane, but he hasn’t appointed a permanent skipper since Wayne Rooney announced his retirement from international football in August.

Popular football pundit Stan Collymore recently said that Southgate should appoint Tottenham Hotspur’s exciting attacking midfielder, Dele Alli, as the next England captain.
Coral has posted a question on social networking site Twitter – “comment with who you think should wear the captain’s armband for England at the World Cup next summer”.

Former Newcastle striker, club legend, and now a popular football pundit, Alan Shearer, has responded to the tweet, saying Harry Kane should be made England’s captain permanently.
Kane is enjoying a great run of form at the moment, and has scored 13 goals in all competitions in the month of September.
Tottenham Hotspur fans responded to Shearer’s comment on Twitter. Needless to say, they agree with Shearer’s opinion. Here are some of the selected tweets:
