According to reports from The Mirror (printed edition; October 3rd – page 49), Birmingham City are keeping tabs on St Mirren’s highly rated midfielder Lewis Morgan.

Morgan plays in midfield for the Scottish Championship club, and is making a steady progress in his career.

He spent his youth career at Rangers FC before joining St Mirren in 2014. Last season, he scored 10 goals in 46 appearances in all competitions.

The 21-year-old has started the 2017/18 campaign on a high, and has scored eight goals in 13 games already.

Birmingham have gone through a massive rebuilding phase this summer, and have signed as many as 14 new players.

They have added good players like Carl Jeninkson, Jota, Marc Roberts, and Sam Gallagher but have made a poor start to their 2017/18 campaign.

The Blues have won just once in their last nine Championship games, and find themselves in the relegation mix – a point and a place above Sunderland.

They have recently sacked Harry Redknapp and appointed Steve Cotterill as their new manager. It remains to be seen whether Cotterill makes a move for Morgan in the January transfer window.
