Leeds United defender Liam Cooper has apologised to supporters after his red card against Cardiff City.

Cooper picked up two bookings in the first half against Cardiff and put his side under real pressure.

The Whites were already trailing and went onto lose the match 3-1.

Cooper admitted he was disappointed with himself and has apologised to his teammates already.

Offering a heartfelt note to supporters, Cooper said he is frustrated with his actions and feels like he has let everybody down.

Cooper will miss out on the match with Sheffield Wednesday at the weekend due to suspension.

This will allow the returning Matthew Pennington a chance to re-establish himself in the side, having returned from injury.
