Graham Roberts has taken to social networking site Twitter to launch a strong defence of Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino.
The former Tottenham defender has urged the club’s fans to have faith in Pochettino despite recent Premier League results at the Wembley Stadium in London.
Spurs won against Borussia Dortmund at home in the Champions League in midweek, but on Saturday evening they could only draw 0-0 with Swansea City in the league.
Swansea are likely to be one of the teams fighting for survival in the Premier League, and given the quality of players that Tottenham have, they should have won the match against the Swans.
Former Tottenham defender Roberts has defended Pochettino on Twitter and has urged the fans to have faith in him.
All for people having views and debating but think we should all trust the manager who has given us our best league finishes in many years.— Graham Roberts (@GrahamRoberts4) September 17, 2017
He watches them train everyday and the players really all love way he works it was never going to be easy changing ground but fact is— Graham Roberts (@GrahamRoberts4) September 17, 2017
We should have won all 3 games in league there and been unlucky we are not far of clicking at home.— Graham Roberts (@GrahamRoberts4) September 17, 2017
Ridiculous— Graham Roberts (@GrahamRoberts4) September 17, 2017
Tottenham are outside the top four of the Premier League at the moment, but the North London outfit are very much in the race for the league title.
There is no reason for the fans to be concerned about Spurs not being able to bridge the gap between themselves and Manchester United, Manchester City and Chelsea as the season progresses.
